This semester has been an exciting one as we get better at planning COVID-friendly events. This started with an amazing Spring recruitment hosted primarily over Zoom with one in person event, all coordinated by chair Kayla Cornwell. Recruitment was a stunning success and we had ~100 rushees come out, eventually taking a pledge class of 15. Regionals was held virtually this year. It's always nice to interact with other chapters and hear from our National directors. We were chosen in 2020 to host regionals for 2021, but with COVID this was delayed. We now look forward to hosting in 2022, so be on the lookout for updates on that. Our Philanthropy chairs Chloe Mulhorn and Madasen Kasprisin are working very hard to convert the Spring Living Science Museum into an educational STEM video series. The series will feature experiments and demonstrations from three fields: environmental science, electricity, and aerospace. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for when the videos go live in April.
Zeta Delta chapter currently has 54 active brothers with 3 brothers on co-op, 0 brothers studying abroad, and a great pledge class of 15. The current gender split is 52% male and 48% female. After taking a majority biomedical engineering pledge class last semester BME and Mechanical are tied at 24% each of our fraternity. Chemical engineering is close behind at 22%, with Computer Science, CIS, Civil, and Electrical engineering bringing up the rear.
